In 2017, Gilt.com users only had the ability to display promotions globally. We created a system for displaying and applying product-level promotions that allowed users to see more discounts and apply them with more ease.
PART 1
Displaying promotions
Products appear in many different ways across the site, and users weren’t aware that products had a promotion without adequate messaging applied to it. By adding promotions to the product level, users were able to find more opportunities for savings.

CART VIEW
Gilt had both global and product-level discounts, so it was essential to balance these messages in a way that would alert users of all the savings they had available in their cart at any given time.

Constantly alerting users
Users are alerted of available discounts throughout each step of the shopping, cart, and checkout experience.
PART 4
Applying Codes at Checkout
A convenient drawer makes it simple to apply codes and stack multiple promotions for more savings. By greying out options that were unavailable due to terms and conditions, users would be able to play with different options by adding and removing different combinations of discounts to optimize their savings.

Confirmation
Messaging in checkout is updated to reflect the actions taken within the drawer, letting users know that their submissions worked correctly.
