Rosen’s Bagels website design

Creating a platform for expression

ROLE:

Freelance Web Designer

TOOLS:

Sketch, InVision

Creating the restaurant’s first website

At the time, Rosen’s only web presence was social media. The goal was to create a website that allowed customers to seamlessly drift between navigating, exploring, and ordering menu items…all while featuring the humorous brand voice that Rosen’s had crafted while building a following.

Part 1:

SETTING THE STAGE WITH WIREFRAMES

I Worked directly with the founder of Rosen’s to build wireframes around our strategy of allowing users to seamlessly drift between navigating, exploring, and ordering.

Part 2:

SIMPLE, CATEGORIZED NAVIGATION WITH A USEFUL HERO

I based the navigation off the two main goals of the website…geting bagels and communicating about bagels. This was paired with a Hero that made it easy to get bagels in all the ways Rosnen’s provided them.

Part 3:

AN ENGAGING HOMEPAGE

With the goal of users constantly being able to navigate, explore and order, I laid out a robust home page that featured everthing from “Bagel Look Books”, to locations, to ordering tools, and to baking process.

Part 4:

ELEVATING Ingredients WITH UNIQUE POST TYPES

Any menu item could be created as a unique blog post type that allowed for ordering info, storytelling and luxe imagery. Affectionately termed “bagel look books”, these posts would be featured across the website including the menu.

Part 5:

Locations and Menus
